Okay guys, here we go. We’re going to do a tour of Harbor Island. So this is Michelle Garcia, lakecdarealestate.com and Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty. I happen to be filming this in the fall, so you get to see some really cool fall colors. Harbor Island is officially Coeur d’Alene, but it’s on the south side of the river. And so you’ll see, we’ve got… Oh, look at how pretty. So this is kind of a canal. If you could go slower, there’s a canal over there and we’re going to go to the right. Basically Harbor Island is a big loop, but then you have this little section on the right, South Riviere Court Ebbtide Drive.

And Harbor Island is just a really unique area because like I said, you’re south of the river, and what that means is you’re not in city limits, but you’re still in Coeur d’Alene, it’s considered Coeur d’Alene. Let’s go straight and then we’ll come back this way. I think a dead end is down there. These are all really unique homes. These that we’re looking at right now are on the canal. And then as we go to the other section of Harbor Island, those homes will be on the open river. So this is a private driveway, so we can back up and turn around. So that just dead ends right there into those houses.

And so we’ll just turn around, but you can see, every single home is different. That one’s kind of more modern. You saw some craftsman style, but you can see the lots are a pretty good size and you’ll have other areas that are not in Harbor Island that are all just separate, their own parcels, their own properties. But the thing I love about this is there’s this little community. We’re about, I don’t know, not even 15 minutes away from downtown Coeur d’Alene, but… You don’t need to turn right here, go straight. That’s another small street dead end. When you have a house on the river, but it’s just your own, you’re kind of isolated. So the cool thing about Harbor Island is you still have a neighborhood.

Yeah, to the right, we’re going to go. You still have a neighborhood. You have people, you might see people walking. There’s a lot of people that walk their dogs and it’s all nice and flat once you go down the hill that you saw in the very beginning of the video. So the stuff here, as we come around, the stuff here on the left is all waterfront and the stuff on the right is not. And then at the very end of this street is a nice little community park. So we’ll go to the end and we’ll park and I’ll show you the…

That’s one of the benefits of living or owning a property in Harbor Island is you get access to the community park, which is on the water and it’s kind of a relaxed, like beachy vibe down here. You can see there’s some older homes mixed in with, you might have seen, we passed not too long ago, a new construction home. Again, all these on the left are all waterfront, but some of them don’t look like much, but then when you get to the water, it’s amazing. But there’s just so many different types of homes, big, small, whatever. The community, there is an association, it’s very inexpensive. They’re on their own water system down here.

But the thing some people love about this area at the moment that we’re filming anyway, I don’t know in years, if this will be the case, but you can do vacation rentals down here. So some people love that they can buy a house and maybe it’s a second home or a vacation home, it’s not their full-time property, and they can rent it out when they’re not here and now it becomes an investment property of sorts or just make a little extra money here and there. Some people do it with friends and family. Some people do it all the way where it’s on Airbnb.

Let’s go ahead and we’ll just park here and I’ll get out and I will show you that community beach. So look at how wooded it is. You’ve got these really tall trees, so pretty. And this is just kind of a casual park area, Home Owners Association. You can see members only. So people, they’ll just grab their chairs and hang out here in the summer months. And it’s just a really special place. We’re on the Spokane River. And if you can go down that way, that’s going to Lake Coeur d’Alene.

There’s a fire pit over here, that’s it. So if you’re interested in learning more about this area, you can reach out to me and all my contact info is on the website, lakecdarealestate.com. Thanks guys. Okay, so I’m going to show you guys just, again, we’re down here at Harbor Island. I’m going to walk out here on the dock and get a little bit of a better vantage point of the river. Look at how pretty, the fall colors. I’m going to the edge of the dock here and that’s the little hangout space I showed you earlier.

And then to the left, that’s where the canal is. So literally this really is an island. Harbor Island is really an island. And that canal goes all the way around to the other side. And these are the homes I was telling you as we were driving in on the left, this is the other side. So this is the Spokane River, that’s heading towards Spokane or Post Falls, really. And then down that direction is, still we’re on the river, but it’s not far to Lake Coeur d’Alene. So that’s it. Thanks guys.
