Michelle Garcia:

Hi guys, this is Michelle Garcia with lakecdarealestate.com and Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty. I am doing a little video series on all these parade of homes for 2020. This is an awesome one. I’m out at the club at Rock Creek. And so this is about 20 minutes south of the river and say downtown Coeur d’Alene and all of that. And it’s right across the way from Black Rock, if you guys are familiar with that in the north Idaho area.

So, this is Selkirk’s home and it was awarded I think, best interior design. So, I’ll just do a little scan around the neighborhood. So, you’ll see a few homes here and there. We’re kind of at the upper end or the upper regions of this community. So, if I was on a street just down the hill, like just one street down, you would see more homes that have already been constructed, but this is kind of the next phase of what they’ve got going on out here at Rock Creek.

I just keep seeing all these really beautiful things. We’ll see the view from the back of the house and the balcony and stuff, but just showing you the construction. Just so many different design features and details. Selkirk, we’re going to meet one of the reps of the builders, but look at that, that’s just really beautiful. The stone work, all the different finishes and just all the different design choices are really awesome.

So we’re walking in the front door. You have this big, really tall. I wonder how tall that is, open ceiling area. And you’ve got these giant beams. And look it’s Selkirk, hi guys. Miss Heidi and Brittany. So Brittany’s going to give us a little tour around.

Brittany:

Sure. So we got the dining room here with a nice active dormer, to bring in a little extra light there.

Michelle Garcia:

Very cool.

Brittany:

Barn railing up at the top.

Michelle Garcia:

I love that open.

Brittany:

Yes. You can see a great view out back, which is wonderful.

Michelle Garcia:

Let me hit that real quick. Ah, so pretty. And so is that part of the golf course right there?

Brittany:

It is. And then they will be building their clubhouse right there as well.

Michelle Garcia:

Nice.

Brittany:

So you can see where the orange tops are and that’s going to be the height. So it’s going to be a very beautiful.

Michelle Garcia:

Tell me about these beams and, oh my gosh, so pretty.

Brittany:

Yes. So, these beams are out of Cataldo. They’re hand hewn, so they’ve got that salt look on them. Then our framing crew added the extra detail. They’ve got some really awesome lighting accents, so in the evenings you can have that on and have just a beautiful glow. The barn wood up there, is actually out of Old Town, Idaho. Restored wood.

Michelle Garcia:

I didn’t even notice that.

Brittany:

So, we have that throughout the house and it’s real barn wood.

Michelle Garcia:

Cool. Out of what did you say, Cataldo?

Brittany:

The barn wood is out of Old Town.

Michelle Garcia:

Old town. Okay.

Brittany:

So, we get everything out of Spokane, but this came from Old Town.

Michelle Garcia:

Cool. beautiful fireplace. Some nice built-ins over there. Oh, and you’ve got lighting. So, tell me about these. I see these, what do you call them, the shelves?

Brittany:

The I beams?

Michelle Garcia:

The I beams.

Brittany:

Correct.

Michelle Garcia:

And so that is like a theme throughout, I’m noticing.

Brittany:

Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

That’s cool. Little beverage center. Okay. Tell me about the kitchen.

Brittany:

So, the kitchen, we’ve got this beautiful custom hood here. Viking appliance package throughout. This is a granite, this is the Sickness Satin. They cut it a different direction, so you get some really beautiful grains throughout the granite.

Michelle Garcia:

Yeah, really pretty.

Brittany:

And it’s actually heated. So, this is heated right here, which is a really neat feature.

Michelle Garcia:

Interesting. Okay. And you have the stove top here. Anything special, I should know about the cabinets?

Brittany:

Custom built cabinets. Soft coats. We’ve got some roller drawers throughout. Up above, we do have the glass up there and they open up, and it’s got a mechanism that it holds the door open for you for more of your decorative dishes and things you don’t use every day.

Michelle Garcia:

Cool. oh, and here’s a little shot inside that hood. That’s cool.

Brittany:

It’s got a warming light and everything.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. All right, where should we go next?

Brittany:

Let’s head over to the master here, to your right.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. I’ll follow you.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it’s over there. If you go this way.

Brittany:

So, the master bedroom, again you have the beautiful barn wood and beams up above.

Michelle Garcia:

Really pretty.

Brittany:

And a stunning view out the back doors with French doors going out there.

Michelle Garcia:

Heck yeah. Beautiful. It’s hard to capture everything on the video, so I’m trying to do pieces at a time. Anyway. Yeah, really pretty. And then goes into the master bath.

Brittany:

It does. So, I’ll show you here.

Michelle Garcia:

If it’s too busy, we can come back to that. What was the area on the other side right there?

Brittany:

On the other side here, I’ll show you.

Speaker 3:

Actually.

Brittany:

So, you got the pantry here. It’s a walk-in pantry and then you’ve got the walkthrough mud room.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, that’s nice. Then that’s-

Brittany:

Great working space, got a nice bench with the coat hook.

Michelle Garcia:

And that goes out to the garage?

Brittany:

It does. So, you do have another exterior entrance, which is kind of nice, off of the side to come into the mud room.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, that’s interesting. I love that big giant rock and water feature. That’s cool.

Brittany:

Yes. Garage is fully finished. We’ve got epoxy floors.

Michelle Garcia:

Very nice. Ooh, this is big.

Brittany:

It is. So, everything is fully finished. It’s got a garage heater. And then it’s got the golf cart bay over there, which is a really nice feature.

Michelle Garcia:

That is a neat feature. This is heated?

Brittany:

It is.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. Want to run upstairs real quick?

Brittany:

Sure.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, did I get that? What’s that?

Brittany:

Oh, we’ll walk through there to get to the masters.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, okay. Oh, does that go through?

Brittany:

It does.

Michelle Garcia:

Nice. Okay. Oh, this is nice.

Brittany:

So this is the bonus room, so it’s a great secondary space. It’s got a bedroom up here and a full bathroom.

Michelle Garcia:

So, this is like a little apartment?

Brittany:

A little bit, yeah. It doesn’t have a full kitchen, but it does have a beverage cooler and everything. Some cabinet space. So it’s a great space for guests.

Michelle Garcia:

Yeah. That’s fantastic. Okay. Swing around. So you got everything you need?

Brittany:

Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

People will never want to leave, your guests.

Brittany:

Exactly. All of the railings are custom built, metal railings from Costa Fabrication. So, they’ve done all the metal work throughout the home.

Michelle Garcia:

Nice. Let me just swing around and get the bathroom real quick.

Brittany:

Sure.

Speaker 4:

You want in here?

Michelle Garcia:

Just real quick. If you don’t mind, sir?

Speaker 4:

Not at all.

Michelle Garcia:

Thank you. Oh, these floors are neat.

Brittany:

Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. Awesome. And is it the same cabinets all throughout?

Brittany:

It is, yep.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay.

Brittany:

Custom built Nadia cabinets.

Michelle Garcia:

Look at the size of this beam.

Brittany:

So, here’s where the laundry room this. They’ve got a nice large laundry room, some natural light, nice storage closet. And then you can ever so conveniently go into your master bathroom.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, nice.

Brittany:

So heated floors, which is a really nice feature, especially in north Idaho. We’ve got a great little vanity here. Plenty of storage space and then master walk-in closet.

Michelle Garcia:

Nice. Lots of cabinets and storage.

Brittany:

Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

Yeah. Very cool.

Brittany:

Very much.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay, and there’s the master. Okay. Oh, and there’s that soaker tub.

Brittany:

Yes. It’s got the rock wall behind.

Michelle Garcia:

That’s a cool feature.

Speaker 5:

Are these all granite countertops?

Brittany:

It is correct.

Speaker 5:

Is that really granite?

Brittany:

It is.

Speaker 5:

Even the kitchen?

Brittany:

The kitchen is granite as well.

Speaker 5:

Looks like it was manmade.

Speaker 6:

Excuse me.

Brittany:

Yeah. They cut it a different direction, so it gives it that really cool grain look in the kitchen.

Speaker 5:

And it looked natural, perfect, unbelievable.

Brittany:

Yeah. Thank you. So we’ve got the lighting underneath the cabinets, which is a really neat feature.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh yeah.

Brittany:

And then the mirrors, just full length. Really brightens up the room.

Michelle Garcia:

You have the beams in here too.

Brittany:

We do. And here we got a beautiful full length mirror, which looks just like a full length mirror. However.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, look at that.

Brittany:

Nice custom feature.

Michelle Garcia:

Wait, do that again, because I went away. That was tricky. I was like, yeah, yeah, custom mirror. I mean full length mirror, big deal.

Brittany:

It’s a full length mirror here, but it does have behind it, it’s got some shelving in here and then plenty of room to put your safe in there.

Michelle Garcia:

And a little secret closet for all your guns and I don’t know, valuables. Very nice.

Brittany:

Whatever you wish. And then a really nice walk-in closet there as well.

Speaker 5:

That’s my wife Gail.

Speaker 7:

Nice to meet you.

Speaker 8:

Nice to meet you.

Speaker 7:

It’s cool.

Brittany:

It’s been cold out there today.

Speaker 7:

It is! Fall bite in the air.

Michelle Garcia:

Look, you even have a view from the little toilet.

Brittany:

It’s been really busy today. It’s been a great day so.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay.

Speaker 7:

You don’t see those very often.

Brittany:

No you don’t.

Michelle Garcia:

Right. Where should we go next?

Brittany:

We’ll go to the other side here.

Michelle Garcia:

There’s the view, we’ll get that in a few minutes.

Brittany:

Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

Here’s a closer vantage point of the fireplace. Okay. I’m with ya.

Brittany:

So, powder back here. Really neat custom feature. It’s got the I beam counter with a beautiful remnant from Gargoyle.

Michelle Garcia:

Nice. Okay.

Brittany:

Over here, off of the front, we’ve got a flex space or office, however you wish to use it. It does have a closet for storage as well, which is really nice.

Michelle Garcia:

So, pretty much all of the rooms have these beams, right?

Brittany:

Yes. The one in the upstairs bedroom does not.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. Oh, what a pretty view. I’ve got to get that in a second.

Brittany:

So, this is a guest en suite.

Michelle Garcia:

The guest en suite. I want to be a guest here. So pretty. great view. Okay. [crosstalk 00:13:25] So, I’ll swing in here. I like the floors.

Brittany:

Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

It’s unique.

Brittany:

The tile is a really cool tile. It’s got that wood and concrete look to it. So, the floors in this guest en suite are also heated as well and it does have a thermostat, so you can control the heating on it as well, which is nice.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. I’m confused. This flooring goes straight into the shower. So this is all-

Brittany:

This is tile.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, it’s tile.

Brittany:

It’s a tile. Yes.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh, did you say that? I guess I didn’t hear.

Brittany:

No worries. I did have somebody fooled the other day, they really thought that it was wood.

Michelle Garcia:

Yeah.

Brittany:

But that’s a tile product.

Speaker 9:

That’s super cool.

Michelle Garcia:

Alright.

Brittany:

Then I’ll show you the outdoor space of the course, outdoor living is key as well. So, I got these beautiful slider doors, that are really easy to slide open.

Michelle Garcia:

Oh yeah, sometimes they’re hard. So, that was easy.

Brittany:

They open really nice.

Michelle Garcia:

Love the outdoor living space. So pretty, Really beautiful.

Brittany:

Beautiful views out here. You’ve got the built-in barbecue, which is great. And then we have a custom built fire pool out here as well.

Michelle Garcia:

All right, Miss Brittany. You want to tell me a little bit about Selkirk?

Brittany:

Yeah. So, Selkirk construction is family owned and operated and we have a great team behind us, including our in-house team and all of our subcontractors that we partner with. So, when you build with Selkirk construction, you get our entire team, and that’s really how it makes doing something like this possible. So, we are custom in every which way, so if a client has a vision, we’re here to make it happen.

Michelle Garcia:

Cool. And you guys mostly focus on the Coeur d’Alene Hayden area?

Brittany:

Kootenai county. So, right now we’re within Kootenai county.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay.

Brittany:

Yep. So, we have some stuff out in Apple and Rathbun and then out here in south Coeur d’Alene, and we actually do have some that are in Worley as well out at Summit Bay.

Michelle Garcia:

Okay. And then down the street here, I saw some things that look a little new and different for you guys. That have a Selkirk name on them. what are those?

Brittany:

They are building some town homes here. So Rock Creek had us come in and we’re building some of their town homes out here and then they also have some single family units as well, around 2200 square feet that we’ll be building as well.

Michelle Garcia:

Nice. Okay. Awesome. Thank you.

Brittany:

Thank you.

Michelle Garcia:

All right. Thanks. All right, so I’m going to just kind of wrap it up. This community is a golf course community, and so I didn’t mention that in the beginning. I don’t think I did. So, it comes with a membership and you have to figure out with what you’re going to do, whether it’s going to be just a social membership or a full golf membership, but they’ve got a clubhouse going on. And actually they have kind of a temporary clubhouse that you can’t see from this vantage point. Then as Brittany mentioned before, they will be building another separate clubhouse that will be the permanent home for the community clubhouse.

But anyway, there’s a restaurant on site. You are a little bit out of town, but once you get here, you have a lot of people and sometimes communities like this are seasonal, where everyone is just here in the summer months. And I’m told that several of the residents here are year round. So, it’s not like you’re going to be isolated in by yourself. So anyway, if you’re interested in something, either building or an existing home in this area, you should give me a call or go to the website and find more details at lakecdarealestate.com. All right. Thanks so much. Bye.
